SAB conducts Seminar on livelihood, business; helps women of univ’s partner community

Saint Mary’s University (SMU) through its Master of Business Administration (MBA) students organized a seminar on Entrepreneurship, Marketing Management, and Business Organization for members of the Timpuyog ti Babbalasang idi Kalman, Nueva Vizcaya (TIBIK-NV), Inc. and the Sitio Masina Women’s Organization on September 30, 2023, at the Debuscherre Hotel Function Hall.

The activity aimed to equip participants with essential entrepreneurial and marketing skills that could support the development and promotion of their locally produced goods through a seminar conducted alongside the Livelihood and Skills Training on Wine and Vinegar Making, integrating business concepts with practical product development.

The training covered the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, including how to start a business and entrepreneurial competencies, as well as key principles of marketing management such as the 4Ps of marketing—product, price, place, and promotion. Participants also received insights on business organization and management, designed to strengthen their capacity to sustain and expand their income-generating activities.

A total of 26 participants—11 from Sitio Masina and 15 from TIBIK-NV—attended the session and  actively engaged in the discussions and expressed appreciation for the initiative, noting that the training provided them with practical tools and knowledge to improve their livelihood projects.
